Ultra-Tech has been at the leading edge of innovative machine design features, including error-proofing features, incorporation of ergonomic concepts, and software enhancements. The company has maintained the latest and technologically advanced CAD department in the industry. The AutoDesk Inventor Series software system has significantly enhanced our ability to generate 3D solid models and translate than import virtually all formats of part GD&T files, including Unigraphics, Solidworks, CATIA, SDRC, PRO E, and AutoCAD 2000. We have also been involved in beta testing of the software, Participating in the beta v5 and v7 programs. In addition, our extensive parts library, has reduced our design lead time as much as 50% in many cases.
Virtual Machine Concepts
We use our 3D solids capabilities to create accurate design concept drawings. These visuals are instrumental in showing our customers a virtual representation of the actual machine, prior to manufacture. We’ve found that by utilizing our 3D solids technology during the design review phase, we are able to significantly reduce the number of mechanical engineering changes that frequently occur during the manufacturing build. Customer changes are reflected in the design and updates can be saved as jpg files and e-mailed for immediate approval.
